The Football Factory is more than just a study of the English obsession with football violence, it's about men looking for armies to join, wars to fight and places to belong. A forgotten culture of Anglo Saxon males fed up with being told they're not good enough and using their fists as a drug they describe as being more potent than sex and drugs put together.

Football 1926

Animation featuring Jerry the Troublesome Tyke - a cartoon dog. A U.I.C. production. C/U of the artist Sid Griffiths sitting at a desk with a small easel in front of him. He takes a cigarette out of a case and puts it into his mouth. He lights it then moves a newspaper away from the easel to reveal Jerry behind it. Jerry protests: "Half a minute, boss. I was reading the football news!" Sid shakes his head "No time for that now - we've got to WORK!" Jerry replies "I'd rather play football!" Sid draws Jerry a beach ball. Jerry attempts to kick it but falls over backwards instead. He looks stunned. A question mark appears above his head which turns into a ball then falls on Jerry's head. Sid then cuts around the football so that when Jerry kicks it, it moves. The ball bounces along and Jerry runs after it. The ball eventually crashes into the fence around a football stadium. It bounces off the fence and knocks Jerry over.

Moochie of Pop Warner Football 1960

In the first episode of Walt Disney's two-part miniseries Moochie of Pop Warner Football, diminutive Moochie Morgan (Kevin Corcoran) has put baseball aside to concentrate on the gridiron. Alas, in order to meet the 60-pound weight requirement to join Pop Warner Football League, Moochie must gain five pounds. Should he fail, he'd be forced to play in the Peewee league -- and their current isn't a team for that league in his small town. Then another crisis develops, this one of a political nature. "The Peewees vs. City Hall" originally aired as part of the Walt Disney Presents anthology and was later serialized on the syndicated version of The Mickey Mouse Club

Inshallah, Football 2010

Inshallah, Football is about 18-year-old Basharat Baba, known as "Basha". His father, Bashir, was a much-wanted leader of the armed group Hizbul Mujahideen. When he left his home in Kashmir to join the training camps in Pakistan in the early 1990s, his son Basharat was barely two months old. Basharat belongs to a new generation of Kashmiris, having grown up under the shadow of a protracted conflict. His passion is football, and he has been coached by Juan Marcos Troia, an Argentinean national and FIFA accredited football coach by profession. Marcos aspires to breed world class players from Kashmir; he and his wife, being attached to both Bashir's recollections and travails.Kumar describes the film as "the story of three remarkable men – one is his father who fought for his beliefs, another about the football coach who's come all the way from Argentina to start this football academy, and this young man who is struggling to play football.

Galactik Football 2006

Galactik Football is a french animated television series, co-produced by Alphanim, France 2, Jetix Europe, and Welkin-Animation. Its third 26-episode season aired in Europe in June 2010. In the universe of Galactik Football, the inhabited worlds of the Zaelion Galaxy compete in Galactik Football, a sport analogous to football, but played seven to a side. The game is complicated by the addition of Flux, which enhances a player's attributes such as speed, strength, and agility, or grants special powers such as teleportation. The story follows the fate of an inexperienced Galactik Football team, the Snow Kids, as they aim to compete in the Galactik Football Cup.

A Football Life 2011

A Football Life is a documentary series developed by NFL Films and aired on NFL Network that documents the lives of select National Football League players, coaches, owners, and teams. Friends, teammates, family members and other players and coaches associated with the subjects are interviewed. The name of the series originated in a quote from Steve Sabol of NFL Films: Originating as an NFL Network special on the career of Bill Parcells in November 2010, it premiered as an episodic series on September 15, 2011, with the first part of Bill Belichick's documentary. The documentary was viewed by about 657,000 viewers, the most-watched documentary in NFL Network's history, and was the second-most watched program in Boston at the time with 151,000 viewers, trailing behind a Boston Red Sox game. Season One was eventually released on DVD. Season Two began on September 12, 2012, with The Faces of Tebow. The series was nominated for an Emmy Award for "Outstanding Edited Sports Series/Anthology" and "Outstanding Promotional Announcement – Episodic" for Belichick's episode in 2012.

Fantasy Football League 1994

Fantasy Football League is a British television programme hosted by Frank Skinner and David Baddiel. The programme began on BBC Radio 5 and was hosted by Dominik Diamond before transferring to BBC2, with three series being broadcast from January 1994 to May 1996. The show then moved to ITV for live specials on alternate nights throughout 1998 World Cup and then again through the 2004 European Championship. It is not known if the show is ever likely to return. In its absence, Baddiel and Skinner instead went on to produce a series of podcasts for The Times, documenting their experiences while travelling across Germany at the 2006 World Cup. The success of these led to the duo being signed by Absolute Radio, where they hosted a similar show from South Africa during the 2010 World Cup.

Follow ex-professional footballer John Fashanu as he goes back to the grassroots of football to manage an amateur Sunday League team.

The Real Football Factories International 2007

The Real Football Factories International is a documentary style program about football hooliganism across the world. The Real Football Factories was the first series, where presenter and actor Danny Dyer travelled the UK, meeting some of the more notorious football firms. In this spin-off series, Dyer goes international, meeting firms from across the globe. Dyer played the main character of Tommy Johnson, a main member of a fictional Chelsea firm in the 2004 film The Football Factory. In 'The Real Football Factories International', Dyer visits Turkey, Argentina, Italy, Croatia and Serbia, The Netherlands, Brazil, Poland and Russia. In late 2007, The Score in Canada started to broadcast these episodes along with "The Real Football Factories." But with an altered soundtrack due to copyright issues. It was also shown on CNN and CNN International under the name The Real Soccer Factories International in 2008.

Football Italia

Football Italia was a television programme in the United Kingdom showing Italian football that ran from 1992 to 2002 on Channel 4, and continued until 2008 on other channels. It was known as Football Italiano in its final season. The show centred around live coverage of Serie A, the top division in the Italian football league system. James Richardson presented the show for a large part of its existence. The first live match shown was a 3-3 draw between Sampdoria and Lazio on 6 September 1992, attracting three million UK viewers. Gazzetta Football Italia, a highlights show, became the highest-rated Saturday morning program in Channel 4's history at the time, with around 800,000 viewers a week in its first season, 1992–93. At its peak in the 1990s, Football Italia attracted over 3 million viewers, and remains the most watched programme in the UK about a non-British domestic football league. Presenter James Richardson was popular for his humour and his ability to avoid many of the cliches of football presenting. After being shown on Five in the 2007-08 season, Football Italiano was cancelled by the channel and did not continue elsewhere on television.

Football Focus

Football Focus is a BBC television show, broadcast on BBC One on Saturday lunchtimes, covering football, presented from the 2009/2010 season by Dan Walker. The programme is broadcast from MediaCityUK in Salford, Greater Manchester. The programme previously formed part of the Grandstand programme but has since August 2001 been considered a show in its own right. Prior to the launch of Match of the Day 2, it was often the first chance for viewers to see analysis of the Sunday and Monday Premier League games. The programme is now a weekly magazine, with reports from across the country at all levels of English and Scottish football. It previews the weekend's fixtures and provides updates from the early Premier League game. Since BBC have the rights to Premier League highlights, Football Focus also shows the key moments from the midweek matches. A version of the programme which looks at world football airs on BBC World News. The theme song for the programme is different for each new season. For the 2002/03 season it was "Backaround" by Elevator Suite. The 2003/04 season featured a cover of the Stevie Nicks track "Stand Back" by Linus Loves featuring Sam Obernik. For the 2007/08 season it was "Kill The Director" by The Wombats and for the 2009/2010 season it was Jetstream by Doves, from the album Kingdom of Rust. For the 2012/13 it was "Undegpedwar" by Y Niwl from the self-titled album.

Football America

Football America is a book and film series that was released by the National Football League in 1992. It was also the name of a follow-up series that aired on NFL Network from 2003 to 2005 on a regular basis. The books and TV shows were feature stories about various players and teams. Among the stories: ⁕A 65-year-old semipro football player in Agoura Hills, California, who played against opponents a fraction of his age. ⁕Dot Easterwood Murphy, head football coach at Itawamba Community College in Fulton, Mississippi. ⁕The football rivalry between members of the New York City fire and police departments. ⁕An Arab-American football star at Azusa Pacific University who uses football to overcome increasing hostility against his people following "9/11." ⁕Players at Linfield College in Oregon caught in the crossfire of the Pearl Harbor attack. ⁕A single-wing offense run by a small college and a high school. ⁕"Turkey Bowl" flag football games in Massachusetts and North Carolina. ⁕A "Turkey Bowl" full contact football game set in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. ⁕The Gallaudet College team. Turner Network Television, which then held partial rights to NFL games, telecast the original film in 1992. The 2003-05 series was hosted by veteran sportscaster Charley Steiner. It aired on Sunday and Monday nights, at the same time ESPN and ABC presented their prime time games.

Football Wives

Football Wives is a television pilot developed for U.S. television network ABC, which would have aired in the fall 2007 season had it been picked up for a series order. The show is based on the successful British television series Footballers' Wives, and follows the dramatic private lives of the players from the fictional NFL team the Orlando Stingrays. The pilot was written by Marco Pennette and directed by Bryan Singer. Though ABC did not pick up Football Wives when the network announced its 2007-2008 line-up on May 15, 2007, a June 28, 2007 article in the The Hollywood Reporter reported that production company ABC Studios had extended its options on the show's cast, and suggested the possibility that the network might have still been interested in the series. The Reporter also speculated that Football Wives had a chance for pickup by another network, with NBC and FOX reportedly interested. Football Wives was one of at least six pilots turned down by ABC, and reportedly "tested very well with women and only so so for the men."

Sunday Football

In Australia, Sunday Football is the broadcasting of both the Australian Football League and National Rugby League Sunday matches on television. Sunday Football is generally considered to be the biggest stage and generates the most publicity for the clubs involved in both codes. The Seven Network have the broadcast rights for the AFL, while the Nine Network holds the rights to the NRL which it has had held since 1992. Both codes are shown in all states and territories, however the timing and scheduling depends on which code is more dominant in its respective state. The dominant codes are Australian rules football in Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania; and rugby league in New South Wales, Queensland and Australian Capital Territory. In the dominant states, Sunday Football is broadcast on the respective networks primary channels. Historically, the code which was not deemed the dominant code for its state was shown in a late-night timeslot, however with the addition of multi-channels, the networks have been able to show matches live all across the country from 2012. AFL matches in New South Wales, Queensland and ACT are shown on 7mate while NRL matches are shown in Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia on GEM.

Football Icon 2005

Football Icon was a British television programme shown on Sky One. The programme gave young, unsigned football players between the ages of 16 and 18 a chance to win a contract with the then Premiership champions, Chelsea. Thousands of players who entered were whittled down to fourteen finalists, all of whom were put to the test at their Cobham training ground. The players were eliminated week by week until only the final three remained, when then-manager José Mourinho and his staff selected a winner.

Football Superstar 2008

Football Superstar was an Australian reality television series that aired on FOX8. It was hosted by Lee Furlong and Brian McFadden, with Kris Smith replacing McFadden in the third season. The show aimed to find a new football star from male contestants aged 16 to 21. In its three seasons, the winners were Adam Hett, Luke Pilkington and Liam McCormick.
